The Evening Standard has won two nominations in the prestigious Webby Awards.
The Women Tech Charge podcast is up for Best Technology Podcast, while its innovative audio news service for Google Assistant has been named in the Voice category.
Webby Awards executive director Claire Graves said: “Nominees like the Evening Standard are setting the standard for innovation and creativity on the Internet.
“It is an incredible achievement to be selected among the best from the 13,000 entries we received this year.”
Chris Stone, the Evening Standard’s executive producer for video and audio, said: “The Webby Awards are the internet’s Oscars, so we are thrilled to be nominated. These nominations are a testament to the hard work and innovation being carried out at the Evening Standard despite the current challenges facing the media industry.”
The Webby Awards, presented by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, is the leading international awards organisation honouring excellence on the Internet.
