London Food Month wins at the Event Awards 2017.

The Evening Standard has won the Debut Event award for London Food Month at the Event Awards 2017. A recognition of excellence and innovation, the 20th annual Event Awards took place on Wednesday at Eventim Apollo Hammersmith.

Throughout June this year, London Food Month celebrated the world’s culinary capital and brought to life the Standard’s foodie focus by establishing Britain's largest-ever food festival. The event worked in conjunction with The Felix Project, a charity dedicated to reducing food waste and food poverty.

London Food Month was curated by creative directors Grace Dent and Tom Parker Bowles, who brought together Britain's best chefs, including Angela Hartnett, Fergus Henderson and Claude Bosi, along with international chefs Dan Hunter, Ana Ros and Massimo Bottura. Proving that London really does love food, the month-long celebration of all things edible offered something for everyone across 400 events, from high-end dinners to free community events and featured a bustling Night Market in Kensington full of culinary treats. You can read Campaign’s full write up here
