- We hosted a breakfast panel session post LFW with Caroline Rush, CEO of the British Fashion Council, Roland Mouret, Harry Morrison, Accenture, Maurice Mullen our Head of Fashion and our wonderful host Digital Head of lifestyle Suzannah Ramsdale.
The Evening Standard and ES Magazine have proudly sponsored London Fashion Week for 15 years. The ES Magazine Fashion Edition was the only publication available inside The Store Studios, and our merchandisers targeted high-profile offsite shows too including Victoria Beckham and Burberry.
To celebrate our 30th season we hosted a breakfast panel discussing ‘The Future of Fashion’ at London’s first environmentally-friendly members' club, Arboretum.
The panel featured a stellar line-up of industry professionals exploring a range of issues including sustainability and supply chain transparency, the effect of Brexit on the industry and the changing consumer landscape and reflections of LFW September 2019. 'The Future of Fashion' was hosted by Evening Standard Digital Head of Lifestyle, Suzannah Ramsdale alongside: Caroline Rush, Chief Executive, BFC, Roland Mouret, Fashion Designer, Harry Morrison, Managing Director, Accenture Strategy and our very own Maurice Mullen, Head of Fashion, ESI Media.
The panel and discussion points made for an extremely educational and engaging debate, highlighting issues around sustainability in the fashion industry. The panel ended with some words of wisdom about how the audience as consumers could make changes to their shopping habits to become more sustainable - be cautious about buying items with the intention of sending them back and buy less and buy better.
