Special Colours.
Fluorescents
We have the capability to add fluro colours to paper using both web and sheet-fed processes.
Metallics
A wide range of colours are available ranging from silver and gold, to more than 400 different shades. Metallics can be UVed or laminated over, a matt will dull down the metallic effect. Don't forget to knock out type if it's overprinting.
High density black
A high-density black or even running a high-density black 5th column improves the delivery of black and enables black to be run without affecting the image.
Special printing processes.
St Ives Roche is one of the few printers in Britain that has a MFX licence. Using a special MXF base coat of either sliver or gold you are able to reproduce many different metallic colours by using 'one' extra colour (unit of the press).
Using integration special colour with 4-colour process, extra vibrant colours can be produced. This increases impact by producing a colour with wider gamma than normal 4-colour process.
These inks are more vibrant, giving a printed result with a wider gamma (more colours visible to the human eye). This is a particularly good option with colours such as green and blue that are difficult or reproduce with vibrancy in 4-colour process.
A 6-colour process using additional orange and green inks along with 4-colour process ink to produce extra bright colours.
A huge variety of hot foil colours and finishes are available. Extra care has been taken to to ensure that the foil you choose is compatible with any other process.
Image is placed within the foil.
Foil is applied with glue and then overprinted using either conventional or UV inks. A wide variety of colours are available.
Paperboard is pushed outwards or inwards or at different levels.
Scented varnish is applied to paperboard. When consumers scratch, the scent is released. There is a large choice of scents available, including chocolate or fruit.
A lenticular lens is a single convex lens that magnifies light through a prism effect. A lenticular image has two components: a printed image and a lenticular lens screen through which the image is viewed.
