The Evening Standard announces partnership with the Aziz Foundation, offering an apprenticeship at the for one exceptional British Muslim looking to pursue a career in Journalism.

This represents a brilliant opportunity for a postgraduate editorial apprenticeship at the Evening Standard. The successful candidate will receive day-release training for the National Council for the Training of Journalists (NCTJ) Diploma during the 15-month apprenticeship. The candidate will be active within a British Muslim community and demonstrate intimate knowledge of issues affecting British Muslim communities as well as demonstrating long-term commitment to community/societal development within Britain.

Doug Wills, Editor Emeritus, said: “We are delighted to be working together with the Aziz Foundation to advance the Evening Standard and The Independent’s diversity in journalism apprenticeship programme. By partnering with the Foundation, we hope to support more British Muslims in their training to become journalists and encourage more talented young people from diverse backgrounds into the industry.”
